    Thanks again Oliver 🙂

Fully understand that those are personal recommendations. I’ve now got Mainsail and have been looking at some of the advertisers in there too.

Going to start sanding this afternoon… wish me luck!  🙂

    Thanks Oliver 🙂

    That was very very helpful.

Funnily enough, after reading some of your other posts, I bought some CPES earlier this week, and I spent most of today with my son assembling an “instant” (hahaha!) garage from MachineMart, so my pride and joy is now under cover.  We’re planning on sanding her deck down to bare wood over the weekend.  I’m hoping to be able to just “touch-up” some parts in the interior.  I don’t fancy sanding all those nooks and crannies!  Then we can leave her to dry out and see what happens to the joints.

    Again, thanks very much 🙂

    Thanks Oliver,

Some time ago I took up the association’s offer to take possession of the original paper records, which is where I found out her original “Southern Comfort” name.  Definitely going to change it from the current “Jelly Roll II” (although would love to know the story behind that) but, like your article said, it’s harder than choosing my kids’ names!  🙂

    Thanks Andy,

She has a white hull now, which really sets off her varnished wooden deck well.  The people that did the Series I to II conversion did a really good job.  Looking forward to getting her back on the water again.

    Thanks Oliver 🙂

Yep, sounds like the same boat.  Peter e-mailed me all the photos of the conversion, and I still have them somewhere on the laptop.

I’ve added a roller-reefing system to the Genoa since I got her.  The varnish needs a bit of TLC at the moment, but still in good shape overall.

    Hi Oliver,

She is indeed a Series 1 to 2 conversion 🙂

And the name “Peter Johnson” certainly rings a bell (oops!, pardon the pun).

Doh!  The file size is 765, so exceeds the max 512k.

If an admin would like a copy to upload to the website again, just let me know 🙂
